~Amulets: More Important Than You Think~
The release of Aquila brought with it the revolutionary new idea that an amulet could carry stats. No we're not talking just health, were talking full on resist, pierce, critical, and critical block. Of course you all know by now i am referring to the amulet of divine influence, which until the release of the second half of Khrysalis was the only amulet in the game which gave its user the unique ability to gain a stat advantage over other players in the Arena. With the release of the finale of the Morganthe saga, 7 new school specific stat amulets were added to the game, but are these amulets really worth the massive effort and luck it requires to obtain one? During the pre-part 2 era, the Amulet of Divine Influence was widely regarded as the best amulet available in live realm. It's not difficult to see why. Although the critical given is minimal, somewhere around +2% at level 100, the amulet gives a sizable amount of critical block. The +7% critical block provided can balance out the stats of high level players, who don't receive enough block from their high critical, Hades or crafted gear to survive in today's Arena. As if that wasn't enough the amulet also provides a small amount of pierce and resistance, adding a little more security to low resist spam sets, while simultaneously adding that little push that could turn a match in your favor. Being accustomed to using mastery amulets or amulets that gave nothing more than health boosts, this change was major, and altered the face of PvP. The release of 7 new school specific stat amulets from Morganthe, only added to this premise. But of course, these amulets come with a significant drawback, their nearly impossible to obtain. This begs the question, are they REALLY worth it? It's not hard to see that these amulets make a difference, but is it big enough where it
becomes a necessity to spend the countless hours required to obtain one? Speaking from my own personal opinion, these amulets have limitless value, especially for schools like mine (Myth) which demand every advantage you can pack into your stats in order to win. Then again, despite farming Morganthe at least twice a day, every day, for the past few months, I've yet to receive a single amulet, never mind my school specific jewel. These amulets have become so rare, that I've witnessed those extremely lucky players get cussed out when they receive their amulet in minimal runs. So comment below what you think!
