That's right; Halloween is back in the Spiral! And from now until the end of October you can experience the spooky fun throughout the whole of Wizard City. And weather you're a veteran player or a new player you'll be able to participate in this Season of Death Funfest. Plus, this year there's an all new activity for you to do. FISHING! So if you're interested in hearing about some of the things in store this October click the "Read More" button. . .

~ ‘Allo readers of young and old. Upon clicking the “Read More” icon you were transferred here to another page so that you could view one of our Extend Posts. So read on and I hope you enjoy what you read! ~

The Five Jack Pumpkins

Since it's that time again a few friendly Scarecrows have made an appearance on the streets of Wizard City. If you don't know what I'm talking about then allow me to introduce you to Jack Hallow of the Commons, Jack Straw of Unicorn Way, Pumpkin Jack of Cyclops Lane, Jack O' Lantern of Triton Avenue, and
Jack Crow of Firecat Alley. Each of them are full of rhymes and riddles that assign you to do fun things like catching Ghosts, interacting with Jack O' Lanterns, and my personal favorite Apple Dunking.

Spooky Bob's Wares

Like every festivity celebrated in the Spiral there is a Vendor with cool Seasonal Items for your Wizard. And Spooky Bob is the one devoted to Halloween. From now until about the end of October you can find Spooky Bob by the fountain in the Shopping District selling Halloween themed attire for Crowns. As well as a rare Black Cat Pet.

A Shade of Night

This activity is probably the most time invested. If you're poor, or don't want to waste Crowns on the Halloween Items sold by Spooky Bob then farming Nightshade is the activity for you. And please note, all of Nightshade's items are for Wizards of a lower level. If you're looking for something for your level then I suggest checking out the other final Dungeons of the later Worlds. Also, the Black Cat Pet is not dropped by Nightshade. BUT! There is a way to get it and I'll address that later on. But for now I wish you luck with Nightshade and I hope you all get what you want from him before this celebration ends.

As to what you have to do; simply head deep into the Haunted Cave and enter his tower. And to all that perform this activity, I wish you luck with getting what you want. And while you're in the Haunted Cave might I suggest checking out this next thing?

Dworgyn's Vegetable Ordeal

Just like last year KingsIsle has brought back the wonderful Haunted Cave Dungeon instance. And deep within lies an ancient threat. . . Nosferabbit.

If one of your Wizards is of the level 13 or higher consult Dworgyn in Nightside and help him investigate the lair of the Vampire Rabbit. But be careful, if you upset him be prepared to put up a
decent fight! And who knows, maybe you'll come across some decent rewards like this Vampire Pet.

A Towering Horror

As I had said before, the Black Cat Pet is not obtainable through Nightshade. But you can get it through one of the three great Halloween Towers that float over the chasm where the Death School once stood.

A Carnival of Fish

Unlike last year when we now have yet a fourth Halloween activity. This activity is Fishing, but what you're Fishing for are special "Seasonal" Fish that only come around once every year or so. And this time KingsIsle has presents to us a collection of three new Halloween Fish.

The first one is the Blackcat Fish which is a Death Fish can be found in the waters of the Commons of Wizard City.

"If you manage to catch one of these rare fish, consider yourself very lucky. Whether it's good luck or bad luck, is up for debate"

The second one is the Vampire Squid which is a Death Fish and can be found in the waters of the Commons and Cyclops Lane of Wizard City.

"Seen stalking the waters around Halloween time. But don't worry, they're not into blood. They're suckers for ink."

And the third and final found Fish is the Frakenfish which is a Storm Fish and can be found in the waters of Unicorn Way of Wizard City.

"Though a result of a grotesque science experiment, they were at least given a kind heart. They're seen only around Halloween, eluding angry mobs."

Now with this fishy introduction out of the way I'd like to present to you a whole new Event Quest that's quite rewarding.

All The Time In The Spiral

If you were displeased with the "Big Summer Update" well then allow me to introduce you to what I believe was the missing portion of it. That's right, the Professor has made his way to other parts of the Spiral from now until October 13th to bring you an exhilarating set of Quests.

Now I don't want to spoil anything for you if you haven't completed the Quests yet. However, I will inform you that there's a cool new set of Music Players that you have a chance of receiving from the final Bosses of each Dungeon. So check them out when you have a chance!

A Pack dreamed my Nightmares

The Nightmare Pack is probably one of the most popular Packs in the Crown Shoppe. And since it's release it's received an update which featured a whole new collection of Mounts and gear.

And now this year people wonder if there will be yet another update to it and what the update will be. Personally I'm hoping for a new type of Mount instead of the same olde Horses as well as a Frankenstein, Headless Horseman, and Vampire/Werewolf themed attire. What do you think will happen with the Nightmare Pack? Tell me in the comment section below.

KingsIsle_+_ExtraLife = A Charitable Cause

In the October Monthly Newsletter KingsIsle announced that they'd be playing games for 24 hours. And all the money that they make will go to ExtraLife. An organization dedicated to helping children. As well, depending on the amount you donate will grant you one of three awesome prizes. The top prize is a brand new Bundle. But you can only receive it if you donate 100$ or more.

Spooky Stories

Like every Halloween there's always scary stories with a fierce monster. And quite a few weeks ago I wrote a story about how I think a Halloween Quest for powerful Wizards could come into play. If you're interested check out the links below.

Until next time. . .
