Hello! Today is a very special day, my reasoning as to why it is special is because it's the start of Wizard101's 6th Birthday. That's right, Wizard101 is six years olde! I remember when I started playing I happened to join right around the end of their fourth birthday party when they were giving away the Treant and Ninja Pig transformations. But we're not talking about the past. We're here to talk about the present and the future. To start I'd like to tell you all about what Wizard101 has to offer for their sixth birthday.

~ A Surprise Inside ~

To start I'd like to tell you all about the return of the rare and mysterious gift boxes that lie within the hubs of almost all of the Worlds. (The only World without any gift boxes is Khrysalis.) The boxes themselves are rare to encounter and only one spawns per realm. As for what's inside you can expect to encounter Rank 3-4 Pet Snacks, Gold, TC, and even the Confetti Cannons from last year!

~ Blowing Out the Candles ~

Over the course of the month KingsIsle has plans to give away special items and offers by placing a candle on their cake each week. This week Wizards have the opportunity to claim a Birthday Gala Gazebo. If you'd like to obtain it feel free to click this link; here

~ Party in the City ~

Within Wizard City's own Ravenwood, Shopping District and the Commons  you can find birthday decorations strung upon the walls, arches, and even buildings. Below are a few pictures I've taken few pictures for your viewing pleasure. And each week I'll try and add more pictures to the site's album. But anyways, for now I'd like to talk about the final surprise KingsIsle has given us for their 6th Birthday.

~ Fishing for Fun ~

As many of you should know, KingsIsle recently introduced Fishing to Wizard101. And with that they've been adding seasonal Fish. The first was a Warhammer Head Shark and now their latest one is for Wizard101's very own birthday. The Fish's name is the Gobblerfish which originates from the iconic Gobbler creatures. And I've taken the liberty of Fishing for it just for you all. Below are a few images of what the Gobblerfish looks like, where you can find him, and what's his School.

"For a Fish that tries to eat everything they don't bite Lures very often. They do produce more bubbles than any other Fish though."

Known Location(s): Unicorn Way and Ravenwood

Note: This Fish is a seasonal Fish.

Until next time thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy the celebration!

~ With the release of the second half of Khrysalis KingsIsle brought forth a new kind of wand. These wands are only obtainable as either a drop from Morganthe herself or they must be crafted. To craft one of these wands requires a lot of rare reagents and TC. Plus in order to purchase the recipes your wizard must have a really high crafting rank and your wizard must complete the quests in the Palace of Fangs in the Hive. These wands all though beautiful in design seem to be lacking in stats. And thus I ask, "Are these wands really worth it?" ~

"... The Future Lies This Way."

...Or that's what the latest Wizard101 monthly newsletter says.

Now, if you look at the above image it may at first glance appear to be a random image. And well, it's not as random as you may think. If you take a closer look you will notice a red shape near the words. And it doesn't take a doctor or a professor to know that this is a box of some sorts. But it does take someone who's willing to research exactly the history and references behind this box. And thus I'll tell you what it is.

The box is actually a telegraph box commonly seen in Marleybone. It's a reference to a strange machine called the Tardis which is an important device in a British television show called Doctor Who. Now your next question should be who or what is Doctor Who? And the answer is quite simple or complex depending on how familiar you are with its origins. So I'll just give supply a short answer instead.

From: Wizards-of-the-Spiral
Doctor Who is the name of the television show which features a man (If that's what you want to call him.) who is an alien who has the ability to travel throughout time and space.

Now that you know who the Doctor is it's time to introduce you to KingsIsle's "Doctor". His name is the Professor. And since Doctor Who is a British television show the Professor is a Marleybonian which is the British species of the Spiral. He wears the scarf from the doctor's fourth form.

Currently in Wizard101 the Professor plays a minor role in the scheme of things. He first appears in a quest in the World of Zafaria where we're sent to talk to him. This quest was actually the first time we came into contact with the strange Dog. (Than shortly afterwards he disappeared but at some point KingsIsle brought him back, permanently.)  KingsIsle then later on decided to give him a second purpose. And this purpose was to assist us with obtaining a new, more powerful minion halfway through being a Transcendent wizard. After this we never really speak to him again.

From Duelist101.com
But now it seems he might be making a return. . . AND IT WILL BE BIG.

Not only does his telegraph box appear in the latest  newsletter but it's also notable that his telegraph boxes spawned in Wizard City, and Avalon during the early stages of the Test Realm that introduced Fishing. It's also notable that the telegraph box moved a few feet in front of where he stands in Regent's Square. And on top of that it's not commonly known that while in the Test Realm a telegraph box loaded in both Mooshu and Zafaria. So I wonder what KingsIsle has in store for us.

But in the meantime I have to go stop a wizard from blowing up the world. Oh wait. . . that hasn't happened yet. Until next time see ya in the Spiral.

~ Advanced Housing ~

~ We wizards currently live in a time in the Spiral where we have the ability to create our own Castles. And no I don't mean decorating them, I mean literally creating them. Using Castle Blocks we have the freedom to make massive dungeons, grand gardens with an estate overlooking them, and even towering. . .well towers. But, what if I said we might be able to expand beyond just decorating and using Castle Blocks to create our dream Castles? What if I said that there are ways to make Castles more exciting for your guests? Well, don't just sit there! Click the "read more" to see all my ideas on how housing can become even more exciting! ~

~ Aquila, Should it Get an Expansion? ~

~ Back in August KingsIsle released new content in Wizard101. This new content was an Aquilan expansion. Now it's debatable weather Aquila is a world itself or simply an expansion of Wizard City in Wizard101. But to make it easier on my part I'm simply going to call it a World. Now, to the topic at hand. "Aquila, Should It Get An Expansion?" Read on to hear my thoughts about this subject... ~
